Care Home Negligence Claims
Making the decision to place a member of the family in a care or nursing home is a tough and emotional one. You expect the home of your choice to provide the best care for your family member ensuring their needs are met on a regular basis and they are well looked after.
However, sometimes the care provided can be poor, and this can affect their well-being, both physically and mentally. It can be confusing, disorientating and sometimes degrading for the person concerned.
In our experience we often see cases relating to the following:
- Fall and trips, which could have been prevented
- Pressure sores, also known as pressure ulcers
- Dispensing incorrect medication/overdose of medication
Negligent care is unacceptable, no matter what the circumstances are. Tell-tale signs of a breakdown in care include the unexpected and sometimes prolonged appearance of bruises and grazes. Weight loss, poor personal hygiene and differences in the persons character can also be other signs that the level of care has fallen to a substandard level.

What our clients say…
“Anna Woolf’s persistent nature when dealing with the defendant’s insurance company and encouragement when it came to pursuing the correct amount in compensation was excellent. Once again, a big thank you to Anna and all involved with my case.”Read More
