Blackwater Law are proud to support local charity Little Wings of Hope with its poignant ribbon displays for Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The displays, which can be seen in Colchester, Witham and Brightlingsea over the coming week, use ribbons to create visible spaces for remembrance and reflection. They help raise awareness of baby loss while showing families affected by it that they are not alone.
Litigation Executive Emma Pickford, Legal Assistant Katie Hempstead-Smith and Marketing Manager Emily Bardell helped to set up the display in Colchester’s Lion Walk, as well as helping prepare the ribbons in advance. Each individual ribbon represents a baby who passed either during pregnancy, or after.
We are grateful to Little Wings of Hope for the work it does within the local community and were honoured to play a small part in this year’s awareness campaign. We hope the ribbon displays provide a meaningful focal point for remembrance and help more people feel able to speak about baby loss and seek support when they need it.
Commenting on the event Litigation Executive Emma Pickford said: “It’s been an honour to support Little Wings of Hope and help create a space where families can remember and reflect. The ribbon display is a powerful reminder that behind every ribbon is a much-loved baby, and we hope it helps those affected by baby loss feel seen, supported and not alone”.
