Thomas Kamlow

Thomas joined Blackwater Law in 2017 as a trainee solicitor to assist senior medical negligence solicitors with their caseload of complex medical negligence claims.

Thomas trained at the firm and qualified in 2019. As a qualified solicitor, Thomas represents clients on a variety of clinical cases. Prior to joining Blackwater Law in 2017 Thomas had held positions at a London-based and large regional law firm.

Specialist Areas

Thomas has significant experience in cases involving delayed treatment of heart attacks, leading to long term cardiac issues. Thomas has represented multiple victims who have suffered with extensive heart damage following delays in identifying heart attacks and missing windows of opportunities to treat these via invasive and non-invasive intervention. He has worked to secure justice and compensation for his clients to help in the process of rebuilding their lives.

Thomas also acts for families of patients who have suffered fatal injuries due to medical negligence, including injuries sustained in care homes.  Thomas is passionate about seeking answers as to how a negligent event can lead to the loss of life, and what measures are being taken to ensure that this incident does not happen again in the future. Thomas has secured compensation for bereaved families including guiding them through the inquest process. He is committed to establishing a strong relationship with clients and families from the outset of a case, to guide them through the process of a clinical negligence claim step by step, including when a case will not be successful.

Thomas represents brain injury survivors with life-changing injuries due to medical negligence or an accident and is committed to helping them navigate life after injury.

Thomas always tries to build a personal rapport with his clients to understand what they are seeking from a claim. Whether that be getting answers for what has happened to them or a loved one, getting closure, compensation, and justice.
