Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides planned and acute services through two hospital sites.

The larger hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, provides a 24-hour A&E department, as well as maternity services and is also recognised as a major trauma centre for the region. Castle Hill Hospital provides oncology and haematology services as well as a number of different surgeries. Together both hospitals have over 1,000 beds and employs more than 7,000 staff.
