Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust provides local mental health, learning disability and eating disorders services for those living in County Durham and Darlington, the Tees Valley and most of north Yorkshire.

Spanning a large geographical area the trust has more than 20 hospitals and sites where inpatient services are offered across adult mental health and substance misuse, mental health services for older people, children’s and young people’s services and learning disability services. In addition the trust provides forensic services to treat patients referred by the criminal justice system whereby mental health or learning disabilities have been a factor behind the offending. The trust also provides the mental health services across the seven prisons based in the North East of England.
